This teaching lays the foundation for interpreting numbers in Scripture based on the pattern in Genesis One. For the last one hundred years, EW Bullinger has been the go-to guy for interpreting numbers, but he missed something very key. Find out what in this teaching.
The Bible is not an instruction manual on how the world works yet it does reveal how God moves and works in the world. The Bible does not speak in our culture and language nor does it address our modern world. It was written primarily to a people who were auditory learners— they listened to the ancient stories and filled in the gaps with their imagination. It’s rather like comparing what is seen through the Hubble telescope with Van Gogh’s painting, “Starry Night.” Recognizing the difference will aid in our understanding of how God created our world. The Lion of Judah is nearly always connected to Yeshua the Messiah without any thought to its historical context. There are references to the lion of the Tribe of Judah in both Revelation and Genesis. The lion is generally associated with conquest, with God’s wrath against Israel’s enemies, and with the kings of Israel, especially King David and his royal dynasty. This teaching examines the historical backdrop for the lion from the time of the Maccabees to the Second Temple period. Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4
The Creation Covenant is the key covenant in Scripture out of which the other covenants, such as the Mosaic, Davidic and Sinai have their origins. This teaching lays an important foundation for understanding the Creation Covenant and its relationship to the Day of the Lord. Also called the Brit Olam, Eternal Covenant or Covenant of Fire, it is inextricably linked to the Holy of Holies and the service of the high priest. It was the high priest who would repair the breach in the broken covenant through atonement and so the Day of Atonement or Yom Kippur was designated as the day the original state would be restored. This is a 12 part teaching that examines the symbolism and imagery of the temple throughout the Bible. This study is an overview that looks at the temple as a framework for study and research. Many difficulties arise when we try to make our modern understanding of the Bible fit into the ancient worldview. Symbols and imagery are examined from an Ancient Near East perspective and from the writings of the Second Temple Period. The series will help students recognize temple language in Scripture. Yeshua spoke and taught mostly in parables which was the temple language of his day. Session titles include: The Temple Revealed in… The Ancient World, The Garden,…
The ancient world had a much different understanding of the creation and its relationship to the Temple. Creation was synonymous with temple theology and related to the invisible world beyond the firmament. The concept of separation or division was also key to the process of creation as outlined in Genesis one. Separation was based on purpose and function. This six part teaching goes on to explain how the creation is intimately connected to the services of the High Priest in the Holy of Holies.
