This teaching lays the foundation for interpreting numbers in Scripture based on the pattern in Genesis One. For the last one hundred years, EW Bullinger has been the go-to guy for interpreting numbers, but he missed something very key. Find out what in this teaching.
Anciently, doorways represented an altar—a place dedicated to serving the god. When the Children of Israel offered the Pesach at the entrance to their homes, they confirmed a covenant agreement with God. Covenant agreements sealed a relationship between two parties through blood. It served as a reminder that the two would become one just as the animal was when it was alive. The Bible is not an instruction manual on how the world works yet it does reveal how God moves and works in the world. The Bible does not speak in our culture and language nor does it address our modern world. It was written primarily to a people who were auditory learners— they listened to the ancient stories and filled in the gaps with their imagination. It’s rather like comparing what is seen through the Hubble telescope with Van Gogh’s painting, “Starry Night.” Recognizing the difference will aid in our understanding of how God created our world. The Lion of Judah is nearly always connected to Yeshua the Messiah without any thought to its historical context. There are references to the lion of the Tribe of Judah in both Revelation and Genesis. The lion is generally associated with conquest, with God’s wrath against Israel’s enemies, and with the kings of Israel, especially King David and his royal dynasty. This teaching examines the historical backdrop for the lion from the time of the Maccabees to the Second Temple period. Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4

This teaching examines the woman in Proverbs who is personified as Wisdom. It answers the question of who and why she is so important. The teaching also delves into the Apocalyptic traditions of the Second Temple period and explores the concept of “myth” from the perspective of the Ancient Near East world. All this points to a vision of the heavenly world which corresponded to or represented a situation on earth.
